The useful starting point
Both are diamonds. Natural diamonds form in nature; lab-grown diamonds are produced in a laboratory. Decide which origin matters to you, then compare the actual stones and the complete-ring prices rather than expecting the origin label to tell you everything.
What matters to your choice?
Natural origin may have personal meaning for you. You may instead prefer a lab-grown ring for its appearance and the size you can choose within your budget. Compare individual diamonds: colour, clarity, proportions and finish affect what you see.
A practical starting budget
Our 1.00 ct lab-grown round brilliant ring is S$2,500 in 18k white gold or S$2,999 in platinum. Our 1.00 ct natural ring is S$7,999 in 18k white gold. The specifications differ; these are our offers, rather than matched market-wide comparisons. The listed prices are for complete rings.
Check the origin and the document
Read the selected diamond’s laboratory document and ask for the origin to be stated in your quotation. GIA’s current colourless lab-grown service uses Premium / Standard assessments; report formats may differ from reports with individual colour and clarity grades.
Choose for the ring you want
Tell us your preferred origin, size, look and total budget. We can discuss both options and the setting. We do not promise future resale prices or an investment return for either origin.
